Experience

How it works
1. Connect & Discover
Every wedding begins with a conversation.
If you’d like to explore working together, the first step is simply to send a message and arrange a short introductory meeting. I offer a relaxed 20-minute consultation (free of charge) where we can chat about your plans, your date, and the kind of atmosphere you’re hoping to create for your wedding day.
Having photographed more than 70 weddings, I’m also very happy to share ideas and insights that can sometimes be surprisingly helpful when you’re planning the flow of the day — from timing and locations to little details that can make a real difference to the photographs.
There’s no pressure and no hard sell. It’s simply an opportunity for us to meet, talk through your ideas, and see whether we feel like a good fit for your day.
2. Plan & Prepare
Once you’ve decided to move forward, securing your wedding date is simple. A 50% deposit confirms your booking in my diary and allows us to begin preparing properly for the big day.
As a complimentary gift, I also include a pre-wedding portrait session (often called an engagement shoot). I always recommend this session, as it offers a number of wonderful benefits. Not only will you come away with some beautiful images — perfect for invitations, wedding websites, or save-the-date cards — but it also gives you the chance to become comfortable in front of the camera.
Most couples aren’t used to being professionally photographed, and this relaxed session helps break the ice. We’ll get to know each other a little better, you’ll see how I work, and by the time your wedding day arrives everything will feel natural and familiar.
It’s a great way to ease into the experience — and it means we’ll all arrive at your wedding day feeling relaxed, confident, and ready to create something special.
Highly recommended.
3. Capture & Deliver
Every wedding is unique, and the way I photograph your day can be tailored to suit the atmosphere and style you prefer.
Some couples choose a purely documentary approach, where the day is captured naturally as it unfolds — real moments, genuine emotions, and the story of the celebration told without posing or interruption. Others enjoy incorporating short portrait sessions using beautiful backdrops around the venue.
Most couples opt for a blend of both. I’ll document the majority of the day in a relaxed reportage style, while also gathering family for a few group photographs and taking 20–30 minutes for a quiet bridal portrait session. During this time I often work with a longer lens, giving you both some space to pause and enjoy a moment together away from the celebrations.
Within approximately two weeks, your final edited collection will be delivered through a private online gallery where you and your guests can view and download the images.

From planning to memories, every step with intention
From our first conversation through to the delivery of your finished photographs, every step of the process is approached with care and thoughtful attention. A wedding day moves quickly, but with the right preparation and a calm, experienced presence behind the camera, each moment can be captured naturally and beautifully. My aim is not simply to take photographs, but to guide the process in a way that feels relaxed and effortless for you — ensuring that when the celebrations are over, you’re left with a meaningful collection of images that allow you to relive the atmosphere, emotion, and joy of the day for years to come.

FAQ

How do we book a photo session with you?
Send me an email and we'll have an initial chat online (eg Zoom). You can tell me all about how you see your wedding or photoshoot getting photographed and I'll contribute with the details of how I can make it happen for you.
Following on from the meeting, we'll arrange times and send postcodes, and on receipt of your 50% deposit the date will be firmly fixed in my diary.
What should we wear for our session?
With a portrait shoot, either in the studio or on location, I would advise muted colours without patterns or text. This allows your faces to become the focal point of the images without 'drawing the eye' to the clothes.
It's also good to use non-glossy (matt) make-up so that there are minimal reflections from the light (whether sunlight or studio).
How long does it take to get our photos?
Your wedding collection will be available to be downloaded from a private online gallery within 14 days. You'll receive a password to access your images and you can pass this on to family and friends to download as many times as they like. There is also a printing service connected to the gallery, but there is no obligation to get your prints done with me...
Can I order prints or albums through you?
Absolutely. I’m always delighted to create albums and printed pieces for my couples.
You’re welcome to include an album as part of your wedding package before the big day, or you can decide later once you’ve received your online gallery and had time to enjoy the photographs. There’s never any pressure to make that decision immediately.
While there’s no obligation to order your album or prints through me, I would be truly honoured to design and produce them for you. A carefully crafted wedding album is a wonderful way to preserve the story of your day — something tangible that you, your family, and future generations can return to and enjoy for many years to come.
